I liked the simplicity of the set design, which kept the focus on the characters and the dialogue. I too feel tempted to offer the hard truth to people so it was weirdly satisfying to watch someone else do it, but with no real-life stakes.
What I didn't like
It was hard watching the fights because they didn’t see the impact of their words and actions, so I didn’t get to see the character development I would have liked. Generally everyone seemed the same at the end of the show as they were at the beginning.
My overall impression
This was a show that illustrated why you should never stay in a relationship when you’re unhappy, and it was very convincing. Three couples, all unhappy, lots of fights and drama. One character who lacked any social filter but believed that to be a strength would comment on the relationships of the other two couples, stirring up drama. I’m a sucker for getting an insider’s view on relationships (read: I watch a lot of Netflix reality TV), so this fit right in with my style. A bit depressing though, but if you’re in the mood for some bickering and resentment, go check it out!
