What I liked
The character work in show is grounded and touching. Each monologue brings out the different sides of humanity surrounding public transit.
What I didn't like
I would look forward to seeing another version of this show where there could be a cast of 2. I think some monologues played as dialogue would make the show smoother. That said, technology was used intelligently to fill any transitions or needs for a second character.
My overall impression
Bus People is a character driven solo theatre piece performed by a skilled comedic actor and dancer. What is your relationship with public transit in Los Angeles? This show may open your eyes to the adventures the bus has to offer
