I thought Ximena’s emotional battle of rekindling lost love with dear friends vs the resentment of their lack of understanding and forgiveness was both sad and clearly delivered. She continues to take the blame for one fight in particular, and struggles to forgive herself. Jason’s love and patience are strong, but are beginning the fade.
We learn that even with love and support, some lessons have to be learned in their on good time.
Beautifully written and directed by Adrianna Martinez Barron.
Arianna Williams and Ryan Jaske do an excellent job of holding court for all 105 minutes on stage. All four of the actresses selected as her former “chosen family” were perfectly cast. They knew assignment and they all delivered.

My overall impression
An insightful look at the roller coaster of emotions involved in planning a wedding.
The stakes are additionally heightened when the bride to be attempts to mend fences with a handful of her “close friends” who have become estranged over the years. Her fiancé, Jason, can’t help but recognize the toxicity of these fair weather friends and hopes to save her from future abuse. Ximena holds on to fond memories of the four pillars she once had in her life, but learns that some wounds just won’t close, in certain cases.
