What I liked

Truly lovely mix of hilarious jokes and tearjerker moments. Often autobiographical shows can feel self-indulgent but this one felt so playful and generous. I think tech mixups can showcase the true character of a performer (for better or worse) and anytime a slide wouldn’t appear or a sound cue was slightly off, Kel only charmed the audience more. This show rocks big time.

What I didn't like

I think most of the improvements will just come with reps! I saw the first preview so there were some tech cue issues but that’s understandable.

My overall impression

If you know Kel from their videos online you’re familiar with their brand of wholesome, silly humor, but this show expands on those jokes in a wonderfully heartfelt, vulnerable way.

Kel has an amazing knack for making everyone feel like a friend of theirs, and this production showcases that beautifully.

The Magic Computer helps Kel process their journey of gender discovery and in turn, Kel helps us (the audience) to feel joy, whimsy, empathy and to laugh really really really hard.
