What I liked

Both performers were great, the subject was fascinating, and the attempt to process the traumatic through art (and being honest about when that isn’t possible) made this show super engaging

What I didn't like

I saw a preview so I assume things will keep evolving, but it felt like some of the meta aspects could have been tighter (i.e. breaking up the show with commentary about doing the show) and while the end of the show lightly touched on the things that Madi got from her dad (favorite color purple, the posting on the internet) it felt like that idea could have been deeper or explored more thoroughly, since it’s the closest thing we get to catharsis

My overall impression

Funny, personal, and confessional without being self-indulgent, this is everything you want from a Fringe show. Madi takes all the charm and natural charisma that makes her an internet darling and deepens it with a show that will make you grateful your dad isn’t a professional breakdancer.
