It was a last minute decision to see this play and it was a decision I do not regret at all. The play allowed audiences to use our imagination for all 60-minutes and it was well worth it. the characters were easy to root for, and I didn't want the road trip to end. the jokes were funny and landed, it never felt pushed. Every beat / emotion felt earned, and the writing was very well paced. 10/10!!...

Elphaba and Galinda, Thelma and Louise...there are moments in life where a chance meeting redirects the course of who we are meant to be. GIRLFRIENDS is intimate storytelling of the highest level about larger themes of identity and connection that cannot be contained within its blackbox performance space. A one-person joyous road trip to heal the heart, interrogate and navigate its possibilities, interspersed with live performance of radio hits. A theatremaker you should know!...

HOLY SMOKES! What a ride that Sara takes you on, both literally and metaphorically! Sara captivates the audience from the moment she starts to speak and bring you chills when she starts to sing! This piece is so unique yet so universal within the LGBTQ+ community, self discovery is messy but sexual discovery is even messier. And sometimes that takes a cross country road trip, with a girl you just met, all in the name of Shakespeare. ...

I was blown away by this show!! I already know this is going to be one of my favorite shows of Fringe this year. Sara is SUCH a talented actress, every moment is fully lived in & embodied, and the story flowed seamlessly. I felt like I was watching a movie (and I sincerely hope one day this WILL be a movie for me to watch, it felt cinematic!). This show feels like everything you want a solo play to be, while also being like no solo show I've ever seen. Truly, so good! Real goddamn theatre. Cannot be missed!...
