Sara’s ability to shift between characters having a conversation with each other so quickly & seamlessly while also making them completely distinct characters is insanely impressive. Like I heard other people in the audience say— it felt like I was watching more than 1 person on stage! And I loved the show’s central relationship. It’s so unique, yet highly relatable. The ambiguity of their relationship felt honest and messy and heartfelt in the way that all situationships are, and Sara’s choice to live in the ambiguity is part of this show’s magic.
What I didn't like
There needed to be more people in the audience!! This show deserves a packed house. C’mon people, stop snoozing!!
My overall impression
I was blown away by this show!! I already know this is going to be one of my favorite shows of Fringe this year. Sara is SUCH a talented actress, every moment is fully lived in & embodied, and the story flowed seamlessly. I felt like I was watching a movie (and I sincerely hope one day this WILL be a movie for me to watch, it felt cinematic!). This show feels like everything you want a solo play to be, while also being like no solo show I’ve ever seen. Truly, so good! Real goddamn theatre. Cannot be missed!
