I knew nothing about this show and attended on a whim when the show I planned on seeing sold out. I am so glad to have made the pivot. "The Resurrectionists" didn't feel like 'Fringe theatre' - it just felt like 'theatre'. I felt as if I had stumbled upon a hidden gem tucked away in Hollywood. The script is well-constructed and never feels disconnected. The performers bring so much energy and charm to their characters. The stripped down nature of the piece and the transitions were appropriately Fringe but also never felt as if they were holding back because of those constraints. I have been attending Fringe since 2023 and this is one of the finest productions I've seen. So much so it inspired me to write a review which I rarely do. Will be a... full review

A very compelling script and a surprisingly fun yet still deep dramedy. The two young men in the central roles do a great job and play off each other extremely well. ... full review

This show really captured the feeling of living in a small town, and each resident was extremely three dimensional and grounded. I especially enjoyed the dynamic with the preacher, and how that tension eventually escalated with the character Cam. ... full review

Stylish and deceptively funny take on true crime culture, small town life, and the ways in which groups of people relate to one another under stress. Some inspired staging choices and cast chemistry turned this from a solid and engaging production to my first real highlight of Fringe. ... full review

A heartfelt story - you are really rooting for the characters in this small town. There are a number of stand-out monologues, both compellingly written and performed. The melancholy sadness, and a bit of hope from this story stays with you after you leave the theater. I also loved that this is a queer story that isn't a story about being queer. ... full review

really emotionally charged portrait of small town life and the people who actually make up a community. loved the queer nature of the piece and really liked how the queerness wasn't the driving plot point. always enjoy some daniel johnston playing in a show, and the playwright also played the sheriff and seeing him wear so many hats, for a young playwright and creator, was really inspiring.... full review
