Liza is charming, hilarious, and had the audience in the palm of her hand from jump. The costume, decor, and music were all exceptional. I know this was supposed to be “therapy,” but Liza, any chance you do weddings?
What I didn't like
One tiny note: the bringing the audience on stage as “babies” singing through a bedsheet got a bit weird, but otherwise, Liza’s curation of the audience participation was top notch.
My overall impression
Liza Dealy-Thomason is a goddamn gift. A raw and vulnerable reframing of pain and personal trauma into a funk-infused, disco celebration. The perfect late-night Fringe escapade.
