This is a powerful show that celebrates the tragedies and triumphs of being a human. Liza is such a good host, willing to be vulnerable about tragedy, while still staying connected to us in the audience, looking for every opportunity to interact with the other humans in the room — whether that’s singing a song together or Liza acknowledging an audience member and taking the time to really SEE them. Liza has a beautiful singing voice, a wry sense of humor, and it is an absolute joy to get to spend this time with her. I definitely walked out a step higher on the Disco Therapy ladder.
What I didn't like
I didn’t want it to end!
My overall impression
Liza may be an unlicensed therapist, but she knows a thing or two about what humans need right now. We probably need disco. And we definitely need connection. This show provides both, and plentifully!
