Liza gives an honest, no holds barred (and no tits bared) performance. Filled with audience playful opportunities and a ridiculous finale schtick, this is a grab your bestie and go kinda show.
What I didn't like
Ok, we got that stair step chart at the beginning; would be nice to have a check in with the audience at the end as well. But this production’s fatal flaw is that it relies too heavily on not only audience participation, but audience sourced trauma. While our performer has some Designer Trauma Baggage, she does not storytell enough in this piece to warrant an en memorial slideshow; I never got to meet its subjects, and I’ve seen enough of Dealey-Thomason to know that I could have.
My overall impression
I can’t believe I’ve been Hollywood Fringing for 14 years and I’ve never seen a Liza show! Dealey-Thomason is an ELECTRIC performer with stunning vocal talent.
