What I liked

I liked the approach of us being in on a rehearsal or conversation about the future show. Very creative. The one hour show flowed effortlessly. His honesty and delivery was impactful and his comedic timing, perfect. Comedy is hard especially when mixed with poignant moments. Marks’ writing and expression of his material is so so good, and the musical elements elevated the show as well. The lighting and audio cues added to the tight, well produced show. I kept thinking, this should be an HBO special.

My overall impression

Extremely well done. Command of scripted work to appear improvised is hard to do. Humor, honesty and vulnerability is what theatre should be about. Marks masters it.
