I loved how the show slowly revealed itself and stayed surprising without giving too much away too soon. I’m a questioner at heart, so I’m always trying to figure out where a story is going – and this one kept me guessing until the very end.
I loved the Amazon box with the folded questions. It was such a simple prop, but it really worked for me. It made the show feel spontaneous and kept me wondering where it was going next.
What I didn't like
Honestly, there wasn’t anything I disliked.
My overall impression
A Beautifully Unsettling, Funny, and Deeply Human Night of Theatre
I saw Stefan Marks’ My One Woman Show last night, and I’m still thinking about it.
Stefan has such a unique ability to take you from irreverent comedy into much darker, deeper places without ever losing the audience. The show starts in one place and slowly reveals something far more vulnerable, surprising, and unexpectedly moving – all while keeping it funny, strange and full of wonder.
He brings you right into the emotional depth of the piece, but never in a way that feels heavy-handed. There is humor, honesty, tenderness and that strange space where you can laugh and feel heartbroken at the same time.
It’s a beautiful, brave, deeply human piece from a truly original artist. Go see it! It won’t disappoint… and it just might leave you digging a little deeper inside yourself than you expected.
