What I liked

What I liked: The opening! The acting. The script. The way it surprised me. The casual, improvisatory way he talked to us, the audience. The way I almost – almost – believed he was making it up. The music. The lighting. The direction. The fact that he did every last thing himself – beautifully!

What I didn't like

I loved it. I wouldn’t change a thing.

My overall impression

This was one of the best shows I’ve seen at any time – certainly the best one-person show. Stefan’s mind is so mercurial and fascinating, and it’s on full display the whole time. It’s hilariously meta – fourth wall anybody? We watch him change before our eyes from a trickster and joker, imperceptibly becoming more vulnerable, till by the end I was crying uncontrollably watching him. Will he play that guitar? Will we get to hear him sing?
