This is what I posted to social media: "I was lucky enough to see this show last night. One hour, lovely writing, beautifully acted. Stefan Marks is mighty talented. You know how you pay a lot of money to see mediocre theater? Support little theater in L.A. and do yourself a favor and high tail it over to see this...but hurry!"
I don't often suggest theater, or much of anything else, to anyone, for a variety of reasons. But Stefan Marks in this show is easy to do. As a novelist, I am completely impressed with his sense of story and the decisions he made to tell it perfectly. Plus, oh, my, he is such a capable actor.
I need to add that I was a guest at the performance on 6/19/26...

A brilliantly performed, superbly written tribute to an incredibly special life. From lights up, the show is packed with surprising moments that turn this one-man show from a meta-satire of shows like it, into one that may very well have a far greater impact on you than the rest. A roller coaster ride of fearless emotion, laugh out loud comedy, and deep truths about what it is to be, well… human - without ever being precious or maudlin. The hour unfolds like an Instagram biography of a man searching for meaning in the meaningless of life. And after deep examination and intense curiosity, he finally comes to the inevitable, surprising conclusion, hinted at in the show’s brilliant title. As good a one person show as you’ll ever see. ...

What begins as a META anti-solo show, turns into a heartbreaking hole of missed opportunities and roads that should have led to happiness except fate is a bitch. ...

When Stefan Marks creates theater, he does not imitate life, he relives it. His words may come from his mouth, but they originate in a sacred place within his broken heart and tell a truth so profound it relieves the soul of its burden. Protected feelings released from the vault-like crevices of his inner life are rebirthed into an evocative vocabulary that announces an unapologetic freedom of consciousness as playwright merges imperceptibly with actor. This fusion surely has always been there, but never as expressive as it is in this single mesmerizing hour of pure humanity about a man and a woman.

Clever and witty, but never self-satisfied, Stefan Marks mines the meta humor of the solo show experience while finding his truthful moment in an honest and heartbreaking fashion....

WOW! Stefan is pure genius.
He has the ability to completely captivate an audience within seconds of stepping on stage. This performance was extraordinary. Throughout the show, he had the entire theater laughing, fully engaged, and hanging on every moment.
Then, by the end, the theater was in tears.
Speaking only for myself, this play—and Stefan's performance in it—has stayed with me long after I left. I am blown away by his ability to bring an audience into the depths of his heart and humanity. His work feels honest, vulnerable, and deeply moving.
He is SO GOOD. My goodness.
I could go on and on, and still not fully express how much this performance affected me. I'm incredibly grateful I took the time to see it. What a gift.

My second time seeing it and yes, there will be a third. I need all my friends to see this show and to see Stefan performing it. He's wonderful. And the ending...ah...the ending. Sweet, funny, sad, intelligent, thought provoking. That's why I go to the theatre.
This show was even better the second time I saw it. I realized moments that were merely screamingly funny the first time, were carefully placed for a reason. Still hilarious, still weird, still said with a kind of off hand "just thought of this, and I have to say it" feeling that makes you believe that the whole thing might just be improvised on the spot- but this time I could see that each one was a building block for what was still an overwhelmingly moving final section. Met...
