What I liked
I especially loved the surprise elements…but I don’t want to be a spoiler!
What I didn't like
Some of the first part of the show felt a little awkward (perhaps more ringers in the audience?), but when she transformed from “chola loco” to her more polished persona, her timing and assurance became much stronger.
My overall impression
Creator Alicia Ontiveros adeptly combined audience participation, code-switching, music, and projection to present a thought-provoking, engaging, and timely look at the potential future of our troubled democracy. Lest that sound heavy or pedantic, be assured that she also employed comedic touches that energized her audience with a feelings of hope and determination.
