What I liked
Alicia is charming and wields this premise with power and certainty. I also loved that her mother got a tight 5 of stand-up somewhere in the middle of the show. 😂 So sweet.
What I didn't like
The pace could pick up at times, but that’s being really nitpicky. This show is such a pleasure to be a part of, and it makes you feel a part of it.
My overall impression
If you are ready to be hopeful about the future at a time when things feel hopeless, this is a show for you. Leaving you feeling empowered by the message that our stories and family histories are what shapes the story of America if we take back our power (individually and as a collective), not claimed by those who seek to write our nation’s story for us.
