My overall impression
If Tanya Alexander name is behind it, I will take the time and check it out when available. I may be a little biased though, but to be honest, it was an excellent show. I was pulled in because of Keena’s talent along with her story. Girl got skills!
Was VULNERABLE from beginning to end. Made you think. I cried, smiled, and laughed out loud. The show was like pearls all strung together giving the audience bits and pieces of her life, from childhood and now mixed in Hollywood. The frustrations of an ARTIST trying out for roles/parts, relationships with family, friends, and lovers. OMG! She talked about it all. I felt her pain, ups, downs, and those nice moments. When you feel like you are all alone, and someone tells their story like Keena did today, you feel lifted up and no longer strange as an Artist. Many of us are going through some of the same things in Hollywood. The beautiful choreography and directing by Tanya I must say, I was impressed. It was a performance that said in many ways, “Don’t have to wait on Hollywood for parts if you’re an actor”, create for yourself in this jungle". That’s what it spoke to me. Keena CREATED! Wrote and told her own story. A spiritual revelation for sure. God is always with us if we stop and listen. (Symbolic) UNBRANDED indeed!!!
Thank you Keena for being honest and open while sharing such a wonderful story. Great dancer, actress, and story teller. You have blessed many today.
