What I liked
Tanner’s performance always keeps you on your toes and enthralled, with both stories and jokes that will make you laugh, gasp, and cry. I never felt bored, and he had a great connection to his audience. His paintings give the performance light and brevity even in the retelling of hard memories. His ability to maintain composure and strength when speaking about his family story is awe inspiring.
What I didn't like
The transitions between characters have room for creativity, whether that’s improv and adlibs or planning audio bits. Would love to see what he does with it in the future!
My overall impression
Tanner has a unique ability to pull you in as a performer and bring you through an emotional journey of highs and lows, with all the laughs and tears that come along the way. His story is one of love, resilience, hope and family that inspires you and leaves you with a deeper appreciation for the good in life. A talented artist, an engaging performer, and an authentically kind soul that radiates from him makes you want to say “hi tanner” back at him again and again.
