The lead performances by Brittany Pirozzoli, Matthew Jayson, and the actor who played the characters of Franklin/The Painter (sorry, I lost my insert that had the cast names!) were phenomenal!! The minimalist use of props and set really allowed the performances to shine and each of those actors conveyed the meaning behind the language effortlessly.
What I didn't like
Not sure if this is just Shakespeare or the adaptation, but the plot in the end was a tad bit anticlimactic. The build up to the climax was so juicy that it felt like the “resolution” just tumbled out so quickly. I also couldn’t understand Michael’s (I believe it’s Michael’s) motivation for wronging Arden. Arden seemed like a good enough guy!
My overall impression
Excellent lead performances & a great intro to a lesser known Shakespeare play that you’ll probably never see again! So see it while you can!
