David Pavao’s highly entertaining solo show, “Poster Child: How Charlie’s Angels Kicked My Ass Out of the Closet” is sweet, endearingly funny and honors the 1970’s with unique flair. This heartwarming story is told through seamless transitions and clever audio/visual support. For those who lived through the era, “Poster Child” conjures nostalgic glimpses of a more innocent time.
Beyond the feathered hair styles, crop tops and bell bottoms there is substance. David takes his audience on a deeply personal journey, bravely sharing his childhood struggles, adolescent confusion and the victorious reward of self acceptance as a young adult.
What a treat it was to watch this honest and inspiring hero’s journey. ...

I've had the pleasure of watching David Pavao develop his one-man shows, and each one has been better than the last.
David has a rare gift for turning the moments of his life into stories that are funny, touching, and deeply engaging. He invites you into his experiences with such honesty and warmth that before long, you feel like you're reliving the memories alongside him. The pacing never lets up, and the creative visual elements add another layer of charm to an already captivating performance.
The audience was with him every step of the way, laughing out loud one moment and quietly reflecting the next.
As someone who's watched David continue to grow as both a writer and performer, it's been incredibly rewarding to see him hit his ...

Hilarious Touching Moving Unique
David Pavao's theatre work never ceases to amaze and delight. Poster Child: How Charlie's Angels Kicked My Ass Out of The Closet is an absolute gem of a solo show. Both incredibly funny and equally moving, it's a wonderful coming of age piece that particularly struck home for me as another child of the 70's and early 80's finding my true self in this fantastic age of television. However, the humor and endearing pathos is aimed at a much wider audience, which was evident given the diverse audience mix present when I saw the show and their overall enthusiastic reaction. I can't wait to see what David might have for us in the years to come. Bravo David!...
