Dione is so fucking funny. I like that a lot. And she is an incredible writer and storyteller. This show has such a great balance of vulnerability, grit, and almost slapstick humor. She pulls the rug out at exactly the right times, and never stays in one place for too long. She’s so dynamic, even though she does dozens of characters you get the impression she’s just scratching the surface and leaves you wanting more.
What I didn't like
This could be a movie/a series/longer in some way. It’s beautiful theatre and the story is intuitively relatable to anyone who’s ever experienced deep loss.
My overall impression
This was an incredible, heartbreaking/hilarious and ultimately hopeful show about unimaginable tragedy and perseverance. Dione brings such levity and humor to the darkest moments, and it’s truly mesmerizing to see. This show is the embodiment of “Some of the darkest moments are when I laughed the hardest”. A must see.
