Wonderful performers and costumes! I wasn’t crazy about the music (“disco sucks” was a mantra of my youth), but c’mon, this is a fantastic and irresistible show overall.
What I didn't like
At the end of the show, impresario Will McFadden (the amazing “host” of the evening) introduced all of the performers-in-the-show, but this is one of those rare Hollywood Fringe instances where I would’ve appreciated an actual program (in order to notate who all of these remarkable folks are).
My overall impression
This show uses “clown” as a verb and “club” as a weapon — to pummel the audience into gleeful submission with a deft mixture of fun, energy, and (as the curtain comes down) surprising poignance.
