My overall impression
NILBOG! Where have you been all my life!? When do I get to bring 20 friends and experience you again!? This was, easily, the best show I had the privilege of seeing at this year’s Fest. Am I biased because I love the movie so much? Maybe, but that’s exactly what I loved about this show so much — this is a show written and performed by individuals who clearly love this movie, and endeavor beat by beat by beat to bring it to life on stage, as opposed to changing it up. Every actor channels their cinematic counterpart, every familiar line, from famous quotables to throwaways, finds its way to the stage with just-slightly-self-aware delivery, just a non-stop laugh riot for the entire audience, film fans and otherwise. I really hope for huge things for this show. Everyone involves richly deserves to see NILBOG! go places, and I genuinely hope to see it again.
