What I liked
A friend invited me and I went in blind. I new absolutely nothing about the show except that it had ogres (wrong) and music (right). I thought my friend said something about Shrek, so I was expecting something light and airy, however, as soon as the opening sequence started I realized I was in for something strange and unique and it was fantastic! The entire Wig family (not their name but they all had horrendous wigs) was fantastic. The singing and dancing was hilarious. But the star of the show was the Queen who had an amazing voice and somehow managed to be scary, sexy, AND comedic all at once.
What I didn't like
I accidentally guessed the answer to “how to get people not to eat food” and instead of ad libbing and saying, “Oh my gosh, she got it right” and continuing with the script, they acted like I’d given the wrong answer. Maybe they should be prepared for people to answer “pee on it” since it was literally the only thing that came to mind.
My overall impression
Bizarre, hilarious, great music.
