Where to start. The commitment and physicality of Charlie’s performance was immediately charming and engaging. The physical comedy, musical parody, and observational/situational humor was all sharp and witty. Also the slapstick/farcical tone shifted effortlessly to a proper Shakespearean dramatic tone. The story and character are fully fleshed out and leave you satisfied. And small spoiler the tie-tying bit had me in stitches. Very clever. Bravo!

My overall impression
This had me howling! Paris + Juliet is a wildly hilarious solo show with some superb dramatic acting to give your abs a break from laughing and, oh yeah, tell a complete story about a surprisingly relatable character. Incredibly well written and performed, every beat is carefully thought out and fine-tuned. Do yourself a favor and go see Charlie!
