What I liked
Harper Rose has an unprecedented style and command of comedy that makes you laugh at her neuroses and constantly wonder what is written performance and what is just her. You can’t help but glue your eyes to her and hope you catch the next nuance. It’s about 500 laughs per minute, and she and Greg play off each other like a twisted seedy dark web Glinda and Elphaba (weirdly, Harper Rose is the Glinda).
What I didn't like
I think Harper Rose should be earning $1M for doing this show, so I’d really like to see that improvement soon.
My overall impression
My god, this was what I want every solo show to be. It was storytelling, standup, and the most beautiful soulful Amy Winehouse-level singing of absolutely R-rated true “everyone is thinking it but not saying it” lyrics I’ve ever heard. I cried because I was laughing and because I was crying.
