Harper is incredibly charming and quick witted. Her stories crack open some uncomfortable material and she turns them into an entertaining chaos of music and jokes. Her relationship with Greg is grounding and joyous to watch. Also, ya just gotta love some musical comedy.
What I didn't like
I think overall the show could use a bit of honing on structure. Perhaps a stronger presence in a director’s chair would help the show as a whole come together with some more deliberate pacing. Also, I desperately wanted there to be a song in the portion where the guy online wanted to see boobs (iykyk).
Can’t wait to see how this show grows over time cause it’s something very special they’ve got going on here!
My overall impression
Hysterically funny, mildly chaotic, relatable and charming. Adult Baby Doll felt like a mashup of a stand up set, a cabaret show, and a public diary reading.
