Trevor is a very silly man and this is a very silly show with a high BPM (Bits Per Minute). That said, the comedy works so well because it’s rooted in anxieties I think most of us can understand, albeit taken to absurdist extremes and his desperation is very funny.
Trevor is interested in failure—his money-making schemes fall apart worse than you can imagine, his attempts to ingratiate himself to the audience fall hilariously flat, and his artistic achievements crumble to pieces on contact. So yeah, see the dang thing and be delighted
