What I liked
We had the perfect dose of dinosaur fun for where the story was going. The pacing of it all felt right on the money, and the actors (despite playing characters from completely different worlds) were all on the same page. Mandy was so charming as the dinosaur, Devin was a grounding presence, Faith had incredible duality, and WOW is Hailey a star! Her vulnerability made it hard to ever look away.
What I didn't like
I think adding more little aspects of this “space time continuum rip” on top of the dinosaur could’ve been fun! But not a necessity, the story and world hit well as it is.
My overall impression
A creative, goofy, and heartwarming approach to a topic that is usually quite impossible to breach. Mandy’s script makes us feel taken care of right from the start. We were given an abundance of laughs and a hand to hold while dissecting a painful experience, providing a transformative night of theatre for both the characters and audience alike!
