How sharp everything felt. The writing was tight and the story was really clear. Everything felt really thought out and intentional.
What I didn't like
I loved the moments that felt choreographed (the in sync head snap, closing scene moments before the lights went dark, etc). I wanted more of them. More of this heightened comedy that commits to sharp physical bits. Those moments felt like dance and like the right direction for this style of comedy.
My overall impression
What a playful exploration of some really painful parts of being human. The actors do a fabulous job of holding us lightly to slowly ease us into a complex and satisfying ending. This show has so much love and I’m grateful I got to experience it.
