This show is full of heart! With three slices of a therapist’s patients’ lives, we get a little peek into the beauty and pain of everyday relationships. There are no heroes or villains here, just honest people doing their best. It allows the audience to bring their own feelings and relationships to the stage, and encourages them to think about the people in their own lives and how they’re approaching their own problems. All of the performances felt very grounded and believable. I liked how the script brought up difficult topics in a sensitive manner without veering into sensationalism.
What I didn't like
I wish we could have delved deeper into all the situations. I like the concept of staging the patients’ stories, but feel like we lost the therapist’s actual work, which made references to her helping people fall a little flat for me.
My overall impression
A heartfelt, sweet show featuring three vignettes from a therapist’s early day…
