The therapist was so normal, she didn’t feel like a caricature. I loved her personality quirk that she needed a dance break every so often, so relatable.
All the vignettes were really well done, I loved when a character would break away from the scene to speak to the therapist again. I got the sense she was really good at her job because we were seeing so clearly what these people were going through, like the narrative was saying that they both really trust her and she really gets it.
The ending was so sweet and cathartic. I’m such a sucker for a montage of people living their life and being happy. That really got me.
What I didn't like
This is more of a theater issue than a play issue, but I could only see scenes that were in a very specific spot on stage. I’m not sure there should even be seats at the far back on the sides, most of the show I could only listen :( I really loved it, but cannot recommend sitting in the seat I did, get there early and get on the platform seats or in the front row for sure.
My overall impression
Very sweet vignette style show that deeply humanizes all of its characters equally. This made me really feel for therapists and all the helpers of the world who need someone to be there for them too. Very wholesome and lovely.
