The scenes were tight, the transitions seamless, and the show was well directed. I loved how every character had their own arc in the story. They had autonomy while also helping the main character drive the story forward. Every actor really brought their own flavor to their characters, which made me feel entrenched in the story. Michael also penned an amazing script that perfectly conveyed what this experience can be like for people.

My overall impression
Punish Me forces you to look the ugly truth and the worst-case scenario in the eye and confront it. Michael expertly created a story that allowed the audience to witness his character’s (familiar) turmoil while also giving us moments to breathe. While intense, this show is incredibly beautiful, heartbreaking, and brilliant. I can’t wait to see how far this show flies.
