I loved how relatable the theme of people-pleasing, pretending, and what hides underneath all that. It was great seeing how that struggle affects people of different ages and backgrounds. Every single actor brought something unique and totally real.
What I didn't like
Honestly, there isn’t much to change because the show is so good, but I would love to see each story go just a little bit deeper. It would be awesome to see more of the actual consequences and real-life fallout that these characters face from being such extreme people-pleasers.
My overall impression
Good Boys Anonymous at the Hollywood Fringe Festival is a good must-see show that completely pulls you into the story. The staging makes you feel like you are actually sitting inside a real support group meeting rather than just watching a play from a distance. It is a really raw, honest, and impactful experience.
