I love Kelly, the human. Getting to know more about how she became that human was an absolute delight. There is a lot of challenging moments in her childhood and in the lives of her family which are covered in this piece, but the underlying sense of joy and love Kelly possesses keeps you held in a way that a lot of other shows can’t when dealing with that sort of trauma. That is a gift that can’t be undersold.
What I didn't like
The piece is still evolving, so there were a few hiccups, but nothing that can’t be outshined by Kelly’s talent and charisma.
My overall impression
Kelly is such a talent who wears her heart on her sleeve. This show, though dealing with a mountain of generational and personal trauma, radiates with the hope and love that Kelly carries with her everywhere she goes.
