What I liked

The fact that this show moved me to tears is a testament to Kelly’s performance. The supportive slide show served the story well, Kelly’s athletic movement helped animate the show and the little plot twist was happily received!

What I didn't like

There were some dropped lines due to preview jitters but it did not undermine the gravity of Kelly’s story!

My overall impression

Kelly is known to light up any room she enters but after seeing this show, my respect for her has deepened. To emerge from such a dark, abusive past and move forward in light, joy and love takes work. What Kelly endured at the hands of a militant father is heartbreaking, but she is not broken. She is liberated, and I am happy for her. Kelly’s vivacious delivery gives levity to the scenes of abuse and manipulation as she bounces around the stage. She is fun to watch and I was rooting for her throughout, tears and all.
