As someone big on literature, I loved seeing sonnets play such a large role in a play thematically. More importantly, the pining for the one that got away when you were young – as the main character’s marriage to the mother of his children fails and he wonders about the road not taken – is such a powerful universal idea.
What I didn't like
It was a long solo show for such a mild-mannered speaker. I thought Eric had a nice “charming older professor” vibe about him, but I might have still recommended cutting 5-10 minutes.
