The whole thing—but specifically how Ryan was able to portray multiple characters but they didn’t feel like caricatures. Each character lived within him.
You could feel how much this story meant to Ryan, which made the moments of gut punching honesty that much more truthful.
What I didn't like
I think some of the technical elements could have been more cohesive. Lighting cues shifting exactly when the characters shift/Ryan hits the spot, different lighting for each character, and less abrupt sound cues.
My overall impression
What a wonderful piece of storytelling! I cried, I laughed, I cried while laughing and vice versa! It was cathartic, intimate, and I left feeling like I had been to the best therapy session I’ve been to in my life. You can’t ask much more for live theatre and Ryan delivered!
