I loved this concept! A brilliantly meta and original premise. The way Danilo uses a “cancelled show” to transition into this dystopian narrative is done geniusly. Napoli is a charming, passionate, and skillfully engaging performer who masterfully embodies the soul of an artist, deftly holding up an imperative mirror to humanity, forcing the audience to look deeply inward and ask themselves what truly matters. On a personal level, my grandmother, Anna Maria, was an Italian immigrant to America just after WWII. I grew up spending countless hours listening to her tell stories of her life, so I felt very “at-home” in Danilo’s audience. This show was like an anchor for me; and if that truly was our last hour of existence, I would be genuinely happs to have spent my chronos that way.

Niente!
My overall impression
“The Show Has Been Cancelled (Due to the End of the World)” is a fantastically unique solo show! Danilo crafts a portal into a dystopian future through a tragically exquisite tale; it is a compelling, thought-provoking piece that beautifully questions the current state of humanity.
