Historical fiction, the artist’s statement cleverly worked in and audience participation.
What I didn't like
Larger scale! Would love to see this evolve into a bigger production.
My overall impression
I LOVED this show! What I loved the most is that it was transportive. Marisa took us on a journey back in time while creating a powerful allegory for being an artist in 2026. There was magic, song, audience participation, breaking the 4th wall, and special effects. It was a delight to be able to pay off Marzini’s debt. Even though he owed us a lot of money, he made us laugh and cry all the way to the bank. We couldn’t let him down after that brilliant performance. I can’t wait to see what Marisa does next. I hope this isn’t the end of The Great Marzini.
