“158 Steps” is a solo performance conceived by Renato Fimene, written and directed by César Baptista, which follows an actor named Nobody: a Brazilian immigrant who, in the midst of his search for artistic recognition, begins to question who he is and what he has become.
Far from home, he faces rejection and a constant feeling of invisibility, while clinging to the dream of landing an important role. As reality, memory, and dreams begin to blur, through acting and the movement of constantly transforming multimedia landscapes, created by Thiago Roma, the character questions boundaries, expectations, and belonging.
A raw, touring-ready piece about identity, resilience, and the distances we travel just to be seen.
