Some great jokes peppered throughout the performance. In particular, his burn on Sally Struthers was hilarious. Moreover, his recitation of her commercials for correspondence school made me, as someone around the same age as him, LMFAO.
Also, like a lot of Fringers doing solo shows, he impressed me with his bravery sharing personal stuff, even though he drew the line when it came to his mom’s death.
What I didn't like
A more clear through line for the show would have helped. What is the purpose of this performance, besides someone wanting to talk about his life? Not that his wanting to talk about his life is a bad thing – he made it engaging and entertaining – but if the show wasn’t called Sack of Nerves I wouldn’t have even realized his having ADHD was important. That could have been leaned into more.
I’d recommend having a collaborator revise the script to make it more cohesive and thus sharper. Then Sack of Nerves will really sparkle!
