Andel’s performance is certainly the star of the show here. I quite like that she works with local musicians (different ones each time) to provide the backing of her improvised songs. The use of props and costume pieces gets really creative and (in the best way) unhinged.

My overall impression
It is a daunting premise, and one that would never work with a less skilled performer. However, Andel truly rolls with the punches to create an improvised solo show that, while it different each performance, is not only entertaining, but suffused with a deep love of the form.
