I love June’s performance itself. Her delivery is so grounded and her personality shines through both the script and technical portions. I love that it is a small intimate venue and that she gives a short address to the audience and her crew at the end. Her character work is spot-on. Balancing heavy and light subject matter is such a difficult thing to accomplish, and she does it brilliantly. The lighting is also very effective, moving from warm to cool during periods of self-reflection. The highlight of course is her finale performance, which is a perfect blend of her technical background with her discovered artistry.
What I didn't like
Sorry I can’t help here. If there is anything that could be improved, identifying it is well beyond me.
My overall impression
This show is incredible. June’s story is one-of-a-kind and she delivers it with so much candor, reflection, and poise. Her voice shines brightly through the story and she owns the stage. It is a work of true passion and artistry.
