What I liked

Everything. But if I had to choose my favorite, it would be the spectacular pay off at the end showing off Junru’s artistic ability and voice.

What I didn't like

I do not have anything to say here. Good luck, dear reader. I hope that by the time you finish reading this that there’ll still be tickets left for you.

My overall impression

Body as An Archive is a showcase of what happens when story and technical ability come together to create something remarkably beautiful. This show’s premiere was met with standing ovation, and I’m glad I got to be one of the first to see it onstage.

Junru’s writing, performance, and ability to connect with the audience left me speechless throughout the course of her show. What she does is incredible—a sight that tops any show I’ve watched this Fringe season. I left the theater with a smile of amazement on my face and one thought that stayed with me throughout my entire drive home: this is what Hollywood Fringe is about.

I texted 4 friends right after the show. I promise you, this is one you’ll want to buy tickets for…. and fast, before everyone else tells their friends and you’ll left wondering what the hype was all about.
