Pitch perfect staging with original musical arrangements that elevate the source text. Acting with depth, heart, and a healthy amount of camp to balance it all out.
What I didn't like
What happens when someone punctures the veil of your carefully constructed reality? Are emotions places we can travel to? How in control of ourselves are we really?
My overall impression
Exploring what it means to be human through small feelings that have big impacts. Contempo Productions “Melancholy Play” is full of delightfully odd behavior that makes you question your own desires.
