The stakes of the show. The timing of the comedy could’ve been quicker at the top of the play but there’s a climax where it is really quick and bang bang bang so this may have been intentional directorial wise? The climax was funny and outlandish so it made up for the beginning.
What I didn't like
3/4 of the cast members had great projection. There was one cast member whose voice projection was very low. I think adding in projecting plus punching up the timing will help pick up the pace of the comedic musicality at the top of the show. The theater space is huge and I was sitting all the way in the back so it was hard to hear what was being said. As well there’s another theater or bar next door and the music was bleeding through.
My overall impression
A funny ensemble piece of modern dating. My overall impression: unique characters with unique takes. The stakes were also funny.
