I appreciated the mix of a frank willingness to talk about ordinarily-difficult topics and a simultaneous comedy of errors. There’s a lot of material and dialogue that feels like it’s drawn from real stories and the real messiness of people’s dynamics.
What I didn't like
I feel a little as if Tizzy’s character is a bit of a caricature. Or that it could potentially reinforce a stereotype. The other characters had a bit more written depth or variety of emotions, I think.
I don’t believe there’s anything to change for this play without a change in the script, but perhaps that’s food for thought for a future work.
Alternatively, perhaps I haven’t run into this type of person in life, yet.
My overall impression
It was a very well acted and very funny show! With a good commentary on the difficulties of dating and relationships in this day and age. I appreciate that we could be so close to to the stage.
