My overall impression
Weiland is excellent at setting up a seemingly mundane story then adding exciting twists that nobody saw coming. You get the chance to connect with and understand each character individually which makes all the messy love triangles (and squares) that much more gripping. Coffee Date explores all the juicy hallmarks of modern dating including dating apps, undefined relationships, and fluid sexuality.
